Maybe WE ought to organise in response to this?
Contact "wavering" Democrats and tell them to vote NO on Obama's budget. MOO can raise all the funds for TV spots they want, legislators will pay MORE attention to thousands of angry phone calls against this travesty of a budget!

Boo-hoo. The leftards are crying because some Senators aren’t leftarded enough for their liking.
Let’s start a counter-organization to MoveOn.org. Call it something like StepOff.org. :)

The “wavering Democrats” aren’t afraid of big corporate interests—they’re afraid of tax-paying voters that’ll toss them out of office.

Paul Krugman said it will set America on “a fundamentally new course.”
Well now that IS the truth!

Said Democrats are not “wavering”. They are simply negotiating their payoffs.

Maybe WE ought to organise in response to this? Our organizing is causing this in the first place. The tea parties are working. Congress is afraid.

Said Democrats are not wavering. They are simply negotiating their payoffs. Sickening, but probably quite accurate.

"Dear MoveOn member, President Obama only needs 50 votes in the Senate to pass his visionary, progressive budget." Two questions.
a) Obama only needs 50 votes to pass the budget through the Senate? Can't the Republicans filibuster it with only 50 votes?
b) When did a $2 trillion budget deficit become "visionary" and "progressive?"

For a): They are planning to use the budget reconciliation process, instead of the normal legislative process, to force this through. The reconciliation process only requires a majority to pass.
I think this is why some Democrats are wavering on this, because of the abuse of the process.

Thanks for the explanation. I thought the Dems were not going to use that process. SOBs! ;-)

I thought so to, but they have expiration dates on everything they say. They may have said they won't, and they may do it anyway.
I don't know for sure. Maybe moveon hasn't caught up yet.

Here's a
thread from today that is continuing the yes/no on this story. I think the Democrats are feinting here, playing rope-a-dope on this issue until -- surprise! -- it does happen when it's too late to stop it.

Do you think our 3 Senate RINOs are with the Dems on this?
