So did you watch Kings and is it a glorified soap opera?

Dynasty or Dallas genre mixed with Shakespearean tragedy.

But, so far it has been entertaining. Surprisingly (considering it is on NBC), it has had little (so far) in the way of agenda. I did notice a possible line or two in the first episode, but it wasn't overt.

Briefly,
Queen's brother bankrupts the treasury because he is in a pissing contest with King, as Captain (outsider/hero) romances the King's daughter, and the King's son plays the playboy as a cover.


I like it, so far. :)

Don’t get too attached to Kings, it’s ratings are slightly better than the test pattern, might not even show all the filmed episodes without dramatic improvement. Which is unfortunate, it’s got a lot of potential but it’s got that kind of quirkiness which is a lot easier to get away with on cable than broadcast.
