Remember the coolest kid on your block when you were a kid? The one with the miniature, mostly plastic Power Wheels car -- you know, the cherry-red Mustang, or pink Jeep -- that he or she would take cruising around the block at a brisk 2.5 miles per hour?
Well, that kid's got nothing on these guys, a group of friends who took a bunch of disused kid-cars, stripped the wimpy electric motors and batteries, and installed -- in their places -- gas-powered go-kart engines. The results? Well, watch the video above to see for yourself -- assuming you don't mind listening to a little "Psychobilly Freakout" while enjoying some gratuitous power-sliding action.
Bitchin’!
I think I just found my next project. I have been looking for A good excuse to get back into TIG welding.
ping!
The owner of the cherry red mustang that lives at our house wants to know if Papa can soup hers up a tad...lol
She probably won’t care as much tomorrow though...since her daddy bought her the remote control car to end all remote control cars... (insert the annoying grunt grunt noises from that old Tim Allen tool sitcom). A neighbor races them in his spare time and advised him on which one to buy...it’s currently a clear mustang, but pink paint was purchased, and a sticker kit. *sigh*
By the way...I’m glad my car doesn’t take the same gas...little car gas is some expensive stuff!
Cool!
My husband wants to sell our home and move wherever those guys live. He thinks they’d be fun neighbors.
They shouldn’t be doing that without helmets...and maybe kevlar body armor.
An updated ON ANY SUNDAY...
this is the kind of thing that makes liberals eyeballs bleed
I LOVE IT!!!!!
This is awesome! I can’t wait to show my 17yr old ‘gearhead’ son. I predict his sister’s pink barbie jeep will have a new life.
