One of the few in Hollywood who actually stayed married. 15 years and 2 kids. Prayers to the family.
Drudge has a report that she is brain dead. Very sad.
I heard the tragic news [Fox] that she is brain dead and will be flown to NYC and taken off life support. Sad.
Now I see another report that this is unconfirmed...guess we’ll have to wait ‘n see.
That’s so awful. This was a very nice couple.
Vanessa Redgrave’s daughter.
Do not give up hope yet, The accident was in Canada and medical treatment for a severly injured accident victim has a one year waiting time.

Doctor: Natasha Richardson May Have Suffered ‘Talk and Die’ Syndrome
How can a person be fine one minute and brain dead the next?
Natasha Richardson was reported to be “fine at first” after she hit her head in a skiing accident, but the 45-year-old actress’ health began to deteriorate within an hour.
Now sources close to the Tony award-winning actress say she is brain dead and being flown back to New York, where she will be taken off life support.
I can only speculate, but it sounds like something we call the talk and die syndrome, said Dr. Steven Flanagan, director of Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at New York Universitys Langone Medical Center.
What this implies is that someone hits their head and they are seemingly OK initially,” he told FOXNews.com. “But then they get a rapid collection of blood usually called epidural hemorrhage and that means bleeding between the skull and the brain.
Richardson was reportedly in serious condition with a head injury after falling on a beginner’s trail during a ski lesson at the Mont Tremblant ski resort in Quebec, Canada.
“She did not show any visible sign of injury, but the ski patrol followed strict procedures and brought her back to the bottom of the slope and insisted she should see a doctor,” the resort said in a statement.
Mont Tremblant spokeswoman Catherine Lacasse said Richardson was getting a private lesson and that she said she was “fine at first.”.....http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,509586,00.html
I loved her as Violet Hunter in the Sherlock Holmes episode “The Copper Beeches” (1985), Granada Television.
Prayers up.
I’m so torqued about the news out of DC and the state of things I’m going to eat a vulture on your other thread. And not come back.
that was my first thought. she was fantastic in that role.
For a while my daughters kept the remake of Parent Trap on a continuous loop in our den. Richardson plays the Maureen O’Hara role — the twins’ mother.
I know she’s done many others things, but Copper Beaches and Parent Trap are the only one’s I’m familiar with.
Very sad.
Sorry to hear about her accident. Always thought she was cute. About the only thing I've seen her in was "The Parent Trap", but considering the ages of my kids at the time, I saw it about 600 times.
Didn’t she and Neeson both star in Nell, along with Jodie Foster?
yes. I recently watched again “Love Actually” where Neeson played a widower, very sad news.
She’s Vanessa Redgrave’s daughter?? REALLY??? Is she the COMMUNIST?
TMZ.com is reporting she is “heavily sedated” but not brain dead...
My (unprofessional) guess is that she was prone to aneurism to begin with and the trauma caused a weakened vessel to rupture later. This was followed by hemorrhage , swelling and loss of consciousness. And to that add socialized healthcare , and she suffers irreversible brain damage.
I liked her as an actress, and I hope she gets well.
Of all the news reports not one has mentioned that her father was director Tony Richardson, a very respected director years ago. He has since died.
