I loved her as Violet Hunter in the Sherlock Holmes episode “The Copper Beeches” (1985), Granada Television.

that was my first thought. she was fantastic in that role.

For a while my daughters kept the remake of Parent Trap on a continuous loop in our den. Richardson plays the Maureen O’Hara role — the twins’ mother.

I know she’s done many others things, but Copper Beaches and Parent Trap are the only one’s I’m familiar with.

Very sad.
