I am a secret Idol fan and check this thread out each week. Just wanted to share a story. Season 7 idol Michael Johns is releasing his first single tomorrow, and was interviewed by Billboard magazine. The interviewer asked him what he thought of Adam Lambert. He made some comment about him not appealing to everyone. He was bashed by some at Idol fan sites as being anti-gay. I tried to leave a comment twice with the Billboard article and both times it was removed. I commented that Adam Lambert is not “new.” That his entertainment style has been popular in gay clubs for a long time. With the help of Idol judges, he is toning down his style to appeal to a wider audience. I don’t care for his voice, it’s too high pitched for me. I prefer a more masculine sounding voice. And they removed that?? Maybe they don’t want word to get out that Adam is gay? /sarc The Idol fansites are full of women swooning over him. Hate to tell them he’s batting for the other side.
