I knew over a year ago what kind of person he was, and what he thought of the Military, but I have to admit, I was horrified, saddened and depressed to read this.
It is genuine pap, and anyone who has ever had exposure to this kind of writing recognizes it immediately. It is, as Rush Limbaugh is fond of saying, the product of a "head full of mush". This guy has had everything poured into his brain from these leftist radicals, and he absorbed every single ounce of it.
And he is now our Commander in Chief. The head of our country and our military. How have we come to this?
Darn. I did this fairly quickly using speech software, but didn’t proofread it enough. You all get the idea, though.
HOLY CRAP
***The more sensitive among the struggle to extrapolate experiences of war from our everyday experience, discussing the latest mortality statistics from Guatemala, sensitizing ourselves where parents were time memories, or incorporating into our framework of reality as depicted by a mailer or a Coppola.***
Huh?
This is a college student? The piece is wrought with grammatical errors. One could correct the errors but this still reads like complete gibberish. Like a group of 10 year old boys writing a manifesto for their new club.
More evidence that Ayers wrote Hussein's book.
I think the air-raid-drills-under-the-desk-thing is a little before his time - a case of journalistic truth stretching?
This is the same guy who wrote the two so-called auto-biographies Audacity of Hope and Dreams of my Father?
The Cashill theory about Ayers ghosting those two books has gone from plausible to probable after reading this 1983 Obama idiocy.
Obama also wrote a very wierd poem/tribute to Frank Marshall Davis in an Occidental U student publication.
3 years, 9 months to go.
Thank you for the post, sir.
The draft? Thanks to Richard Nixon conscription ended in 1973 when junior Robert Kahn was about 11. I guess he wasn't a History major.
Were there no laws against public literary indecency in NYC in 1983?
No wonder they put him in charge of the Harvard Law Review
(but did not let him write any articles-you can only carry affirmative-action so far).
No wonder he uses a Teleprompter.
“I think the air-raid-drills-under-the-desk-thing is a little before his time - a case of journalistic truth stretching?”
I agree. He is about ten years too young to be a desk diver.
This poorly written crap will have to wait until the morning.
This makes Michelle’s senior paper look brilliant. And her prose sound like fine poetry.
No way did Obama write his own books. He also must have had help with his law school application.
Where was stuff like this before the election? No wonder Mr Transparency had to hide his past. His butchering of the language makes George W look like a genius.
what he wrote, don’t miss it.

here it is in its original form....
mark for later (Obama’s writing)
“But then, there are some things we shouldn’t have to live through in order to want to avoid the experience.”
Like the Zer0bama administration.
Why do I get the feeling that 0bama isn’t intelligent enough to have written this?
This is from a guy who can’t speak 45 seconds without a teleprompter?
I have my doubts.
