He should have been busted for crimes against the English language! “heart” and “text”, while we’re at it, are not verbs!

This man needs to spend some time in jail and after that or now he needs intervention and counseling one on one and group work with other abusers regarding his abusive behavior. Hopefully he will also have counseling support through his church if he has one. Obviously he learned abuse and he can learn how to love those he loves without hurting or killing them.
I read once that men (and most likely women) that recover from this sort of behavior take years of pointed work in this area--both group and one on one. Of course God will help too, but often these people do not have optional behavior and if they do are not in the habit of choosing it in high anxiety situations. That is scary what he did to his wife.
Abuse in any relationship is sad and scary--male or female.

______
I’m with you on heart not being a verb, but to text absolutely is.
Words enter the language and morph all the time. Technology is often the cause, as is the case here.
