WASHINGTON The White House says President Barack Obama will appear this week on Jay Leno's talk show, perhaps adding a lighter touch to his bid to resuscitate the moribund economy. Obama will visit "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" during his trip to Los Angeles on Thursday. NBC will tape the program and air it that night, after the president has returned to Washington.

I had the weirdest dream last night that Obama’s following was caused by some black magic spell involving a lutefish. The only person who knew had been turned into a Beagle and sent overseas.

Yup. He really does just want to “play” President — collect all the perks and adulation, but not have to actually do anything. Just like every other “job” he’s held.
I never thought I’d say this, but:

Personally, I feel that it is totally inappropriate and disrespectful to the Office of the POTUS to appear on entertainment shows. This just reinforces the idea that he has no respect for the office.

That changes everything! I am going to go out now and buy a car, and then hire three people to work for me!

I would agree with you up to a point...what they are doing with Zero is totally calculated...his handlers want to show that he “cares” and is “down to earth”. That only works with juveniles. Us adults see it differently.

Perhaps Mr. Obama will tell some jokes or perform some card tricks?
No matter, I will be asleep by then, and glad of it.

Card check tricks? Or maybe he will pull some jobs out of a hat.

Obama doesn’t seem to take his new job very seriously.
This stuff is ridiculous for a CIC. The campaign is over.
