A great actor and great American.
Crap. He was one of the good guys..RIP
i am so sad...
God bless him and his family. Conservatives have lost a wonderful voice. He will be missed!
Rest in peace Ron!
The guy knew how to grow as a person. Horrible to see him shuffle off so young.
The Arrival where played lead bad guy Phil Gordian (and a Mexican guard)
and
as Senator Aaron McComb in Timecop
RIP Mr. Silver.
So do all the conservatives die young (Tony Snow, Ron Silver) and the liberals live to enslave us permanently? (Ted Kennedy)
That’s really too bad. I didn’t know he had cancer.
RIP
A great actor. My favorite role I saw him in was in Time Cop. Rest in piece.

I had no idea he was ill. He died too young.
RIP.
He taught Spanish for several years in the 1960s at Roosevelt High School, a Jewish boarding school in Connecticut. Because of his knowledge of Chinese, he got a job with the US Government and traveled to Taiwan in the early 1970s.
We loved him in “The Arrival”.
God bless him.
may he rest in peace... I too had no idea that he was ill. He was a good actor and a good man.
So sorry to hear the sad news. Prayers for his loved ones.
Politics aside, Ron Silver was an excellent actor.
RIP
I agree w/all the posters...Ron Silver was a great actor, a mensch and brave to risk his career by supporting GWB and the war.
That’s why it’s disturbing to read this from the Slimes
“Mr. Silvers only marriage ended in divorce. In addition to his brother Mitchell, who lives in Newton, Mass., he is survived by his parents, who live in Manhattan; another brother, Keith, of Stamford, Conn.; a son, Adam, of Los Angeles; and a daughter, Alexandra, of Manhattan. His acting awed them, his politics confounded them, Mitchell Silver said.
Rons politics, as far as I know, were not shared by anyone he knew, except for the people he knew because of his politics, Mitchell Silver said. He paused and added: He told me that he did vote for Barack Obama in the end

I guess one brother can be a mensch and the other a major league a—hole. Mitchell, wherever you are, I’m sorry for your loss, obviously you learned nothing from your brother..
a
He’s the guy who said he was appalled when the Air Force did a flyover at the Clinton inauguration, but then remembered: “Those are OUR planes now!”
Rip Mr. Silver and thank you for your skills and the results of your epiphany, my prayers are with you and your family.
