As you correctly point out, the word still has no derogatory connotation. It is a simple Yiddish word directly translated as "black." It is derived directly from the German word "schwartz" with exactly the same simple meaning: the color "black." Anyone with only an elementary understanding of Yiddish and/or German knows this.

If all people with the common family name "Schwartz" (or derivatives of it) were PC, there would be a massive number of name changes. Fortunately, the world hasn't become that supersensitive - at least not yet.

Sharpton himself referred to her as a “whore”, and, without any basis in fact, hinted her boyfriend was the culprit.

The point I was trying to make is that every reference to a black person whatsoever can be determined a racial slur by the PC Police. I, for one, am sick and tired of walking on egg shells. It pains the feet and other parts of the anatomy. Whatever happened to taking things in stride?
