Actually, if I was to rent out a room in my house, I think I would try for a young fat female with no nightlife, no kids, no pets, no boyfriend, and a love for housework and cooking. Basically...I’d try to get a live in maid that paid me. I wouldn’t charge her much for rent. And I’d let her be in charge of everything except my really personal stuff, like my clothes and the monthly bills. I wouldn’t even try to be her friend, much less flirt with her.
So maybe this ad is on the up and up. Hard to say.

When my son was an undergrad and active in the Vietnamese student association, I was surprised that the usually conservative Vietnamese parents let their daughters live with a guy. The rationale was that the guy would provide protection for the group of girls.
I come from the era of co-ed dorms, so just living with a guy doesn’t bother me as much as the idea that he’s got 4 cats, 1 bathroom, and he’s sleeping in the living room. Kinda tight. I’d prefer he had his own bedroom and bath. You’d have to be one very broke chick to take up this offer.
