Talk about making a mountain out of a mole-hill! A watchmaker has the pocket watch of the new President and the obvious start of a Civil War. He uses his tools to scribe his feelings inside the watch and returns it to its owner. In later years he mis-remembers his exact words (Bill & Hillary?) so that they come jumbled down in family history.

For this, a Virginia Partisan makes it into a point of Northern unjustified adoration of Lincoln. The logic trail fails me. I sympathize that all the participants of that dread time were human and not gods but this was a very thin reed to criticize.
