Haven’t tried FF-3 yet. But for FF-2: Display the drop-down menu, highlight which URL you want to be rid of (don’t click, just highlight), then “delete” and POOF! Gone!

Anyone know if it works in FF-3??

Yep, that’s what I’ve been doing on FF 2....but I don’t want to re-download FF 3 ‘cuz I’m not sure if it will work that way. Besides, on FF 3 I have been able to get only 14 sites on my drop-down list, while on FF 2 the # was unlimited.

I would also hate to re-download FF 3 & then find out that FF 2 is unable to download again, & is kaput.

Yup, just checked it. Still works. Thanks for the tip.

I usually start with a couple or three letters, and the drop down automagically limits itself to matching entries, so the one I want is almost always shown in the 10-12 listings that drop down. I didn’t like it at first either because FF3 will match strings found anywhere in the URL, unlike FF2 and ‘normal’ browser behavior which is to match only at the beginning, which results in a LOT more matches and it’s a little disconcerting and sometimes harder to find the one you’re looking for. You get used to it though, and it IS better for searching when the unique word isn’t at the beginning of the URL.
