"I have no issue with adoption if that is what the birth parents decide."

well, who else is going to decide? I don't think anyone is calling for the state to decide. That's not what conservatives do.

Conservatives need to try to change the culture from one that has no problem with casual sex and unwed mothers to one that promotes marriage and parental responsibility as the best thing for the kids. Like it or not, Bristol Palin is out there and her situation needs to be addressed. Why? She's not going to listen to a bunch of freepers, anyway. But there are a lot of other girls out there and they will think that it is perfectly acceptable to be an unwed mother as long as they don't kill the baby. After all, if super conservative Sarah seems to have no problem with it then why should they?

Now you wrote:
I’d rather see chidren raised in a family that loves them

love is important but so is making sure that the child has a father so that he can be brought up in a straight manner. Single parenthood is an epidemic in this country and we see the results: a lot of spoiled kids who don't have any boundaries. Mom loves them to bits but they are never happy. It's quite sad.

Oh please. Conservatives already do this. We raise our kids.

Conservatives don’t need to change any culture. They didn’t need to do it in the so “horrible 60s and 70s and 80s and 90s”

All this whining about how the culture has changed is just whining.

Oh please. No teen girl is listening to Bristol Palin any more than they are listening to freakin Paris Hilton, oh wait, Rhihanna and her abusive relationship. They sure as hell ain’t listening to Sarah Palin any more than they are listening to their parents.

We have to stop blaming this stuff on TV,movies, video games, internet. Parents have to raise their kids.

A father is important but seriously some of you and this post make it seem like this is rocket science when it’s really common sense.

And, there are tons of spoiled kids in two parent families. That’s just ridiculous. A silly statement imo.

I’m sure some on here would consider me an unfit parent because I don’t wrap my kids in bubble wrap. I allow them to watch tv and movies and listen to music, oh the horrors. I allow them to attend school.

Not all of us are teaching our kids to hide from the world. And surprise, we’re still raising conservative kids. Or at least as conservative as possible.

We can judge this family all we want, and it may make some feel better about their own mistakes and loser lives, but it won’t change their loser lives. JMO
