I see you beat me to posting the link to that thread. Had to check this time.
ping list add request
Seed sales are up. I tried to buy some seeds from this site recently and found the following notice...
“Due to the unusually high volume of seed orders received,
we are temporarily suspending taking any additional orders for Spring shipment.
We will restart taking orders for Summer and Fall plantings once the Spring shipments are sent.
Please revisit our website at a later time for all your gardening needs. “
Please add me to ping list. I hope to do a better job on gardening this year. Altitude and shade is my problem (not to mention deer).
Heirloom Seeds is not taking any further orders for spring seeds, due to the large volume of orders. Looks like they are not answering garden quesions, and the only way to order is online. No phone, fax, or mail orders. This is the only heirloom seed source I have found that is doing this, but it certainly says something.
Jung as well as Totally Tomatoes and The Vermont Bean Seed Company havae been favorites of mine for years. They have been great to deal with.
I couldn’t find it in either committee of the house, and the Thomas search engine I keep getting put on couldn’t find its own @ss will a banjo.
I cannot find the bill, or a pdf version of it. It’s not public.
Glad to hear it! I’ll pass that on to The Boss. :)
My deal these days is ordering vast quantities of potatoes and onions for the local Hmong community. I’ll be fluent by the time this season is over! We also have a lot of customers from Peru. The language barrier is something to overcome, but they always have cash on the barrel head, so a sale is a sale.
But...their Dirty Little Secret? Well, you know those absolutely PERFECT veggies they sell at market? They claim to be organic, but they are coated in Bt all season long. (Bt ((Bacillus Thuringiensis)) IS safe on everyone they’ve tested from frogs on up to people, and it’s the only insecticide approved for ‘organic’ growers.)
But, if it’s truly ‘organic’ it had better have a few spots and goofy shapes as if I pulled it from my OWN chemical-free organic garden! Buyer beware.
OK. I’m done, LOL! :)
I’ve looked into that too, its on my list of “Things to try when I finally get my house built”. It looks like fun!
“Give me a hoe and Ill feed a lot of people. Give me a salad and Ill wait for somebody to feed me.”
Give me a salad and I’ll use it to catch a rabbit to eat :p
I have a garden, may have to trap those rabbits and eat them!!!
Could you please add me to your gardening ping list?? Thank you.
Done
FYI: I like Brandywine tomatoes too....great flavor!
