What is the obsession with this butt boy barney???

How many others can you think of that may have contributed more to the collapse of the world's financial markets? Bawney Fwank, almost singlehandedly created the unsustainable mortgage/housing bubble which lay at the foundation of the house of cards.

And this clown gets a pass from the dim bulbs in the media and is apparently being backstopped by not only Dims, but RINO's in the congress. This man(?) is very nearly the lowerst form of humanity on the face of this planet. Not fit to breathe the same air as the rest of us.

I meant to add, Bawney has the unadulterated, unalleviated, unqualified, persistent, rank, relentless, gross, sheer, persistent, and unmitigated gall, nerve and audacity to stand before the media and congress and call for investigations into Wall St and others to determine what went wrong. Shame? The man(?) can’t even spell the word.

Funny! BTW, it finally dawned on me what bawney fwank reminds me of, a Cabbage Patch doll! I gotta get to work on that.

The housing mortgage bubble as you call it could have been bought down for about 10% of the tarp funds. The mortgage market is the scape goat for the BS gambling that happened on wall street. None of which could have happened if the republicans had not passed the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and CDs’s

Why they won’t take Baaney to the woodshed is why they won’t take him anywhere, touch him, or breathe his air. They don’t want to catch some nasty disease. I’d guess he has plenty, and there’s only so much penicillin in the world.

What exactly do you mean by "bought down"? Recall there were several trillion dollars of sub-prime(junk) loans sitting at Fannie/Freddie alone. How much more was out there in the "private" market, mega billions???

And how much blame can you place on Wall St for playing in a casino the Dims conceived, created and protected?

It helps in a discussion if you know enough about the topic to make a rational statement. You flunked.

Seen it. Sounds like a man riding a wave he couldn't do anything about and couldn't get off of. Making lemonade.

Just curious, are you trying to defend bawney fwank and his crime partners?

I think statements about what happened should be the truth! Both parties have a ton of fault here. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2201452/posts?page=11

I don't necessarily disagree but consider another contributing factor: the media. ANYTHING the Pubbies tried to do was loudly parroted in the media as them mean old Republicans are at it again, stealing food from women and minorities. You obviously understand the upshot of that. Whatever the Pubbies wanted to do would have to have been ameliorated in some fashion. Pubbies were in a no-win situation, as usual. The Dims create the largesse and Pubbies are pilloried for stealing lollipops. It occurrs to me, it's possibly the reason Pubbies went on a spending spree; they couldn't stop the Dims at giving away taxpayers' money so they decided to join 'em. Just different recipients.

What I was trying to point out was the genesis of this whole thing, from Jimmah Carter's CRA to Fannie/Freddie's come-one-come-all standards, to the enabling of ACORN was ENTIRELY the Dim's doing. Without a beginning, there would be on end.

It looks like there’s a skeleton or part of a skeleton laying on the wood pile.

I’ve gotten an unusual number of comments about that stack of wood. Must be like looking at clouds or something. I never payed any attention to it while I was working on the pic. BTW, I think I can see a faint resemblence to a skeleton laying on top, FWIW.
