Example of a state employee database. This one, Ohio: http://www.buckeyeinstitute.org/article/1188?appSession=43227487566233&RecordID=&PageID=2&PrevPageID=1&cpipage=2&CPISortType=&CPIorderBy=

another example:
“Ohio State (University) pays 154 employees at least $250,000 a year, with university president E. Gordon Gee topping the list at $775,000 a year,” transparency center director Mike Maurer said. Mr. Gee’s total annual pay package, between $1.6 million to $2 million, makes him the highest paid public university president in the nation, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education and the Columbus Dispatch.
