I Want Revenge is a horse on a mission. The son of Stephen Got Even has traveled across the country to get a head start on his compatriots back home. While they remain in California, content to scamper along on the synthetic surface, oblivious to the test that awaits them on May 2, I Want Revenge is willing to find out right now, once and for all, whether he will get hit by a dirt bomb or take to the loam like a kid to a sandbox.
If it turns out to be the latter and he can defeat a talented field in Saturdays Gotham Stakes (gr. III), or at least finish an exceptional second, he will rise up the Derby lists as quickly as the temperature of owner/breeder David Lanzman and trainer Jeff Mullins. Of course, their illness will be nothing more than an acute case of Derby fever that they hope will burst the thermometer.

Joe said at the quarter pole, it wasnt a question of whether or not we were going to win, but by how much, Lanzman said. But the horse just wasn't getting hold of the track. Joe said he thought he would do much better on dirt. And that was Jeffs opinion basically from the day we brought him in from the farm. So, we started looking for a dirt race, and the timing of the Gotham was perfect. We decided to find out now rather than later whether hell handle the dirt.
Thanx for your posts
You’re welcome.
Actually, I was getting ready to ping you and some of the other Barbaro folks. His brother Nicanor is running today...8th at Gulfstream.
How is Nicanor doing?
Barbaro ping...His brother Nicanor is running today in the 8th at Gulfstream.
(Special ping to Rte66)
Grabbed a quarter at the beginning of his first race. Finished out of the money.
Has been training okay.
Thanks for the heads-up.
No problem.
This should be a race worth watching.
Couple in here have a lot of potential.
I believe that I Want Revenge is being ridden by one of the featured jockeys on the series The Jockeys on AnimalPlanet. He has some talent and is personable, someone I’d like to see succeed.
Lew
Yes, that’s Joe Talamo. He’s not bad.
Paid 8.30
Woo hoo
Hey, the group is meeting to go ice skating tonight at 8:30 if you are interested.
How successful are you in your betting?
Can’t make it. Thanks for the invite.
Good day. The 8 made my day...Would have been huge if the 5 could have held on for 2nd.
Nobody around here pays attention to me, but, just for the hell of it, I’ll give a pick...10th at Santa Anita, #2.
8 minutes to post.

Cowboy Cal is 6-1 right now. Seems to me I remember you using him a year ago.

Good thing nobody listens to me. :-)
2 used his energy before the race.
Nice win for Einstein.
