As the owner of a company that sells to the military I had to comment on this.

This article is absurd. The bid for Ft. Leavenworth is not for $6M of riot equipment. It was only calling for 55 sets of riot gear.
The bid was already awarded for under $20k.

The $6M provision in the bid is for small-business qualification. In order to qualify bid on it the small business had to do no more than $6M in business per year. If the company did more than $6M they could not bid on it.

Aw, man! We have a really cool counterforce intrigue thing going here. Why’d you have to kill it with facts?

:-)

55 sets of gear for Ft Leavenworth where the central military prison is located. Sounds like a reasonable acquisition to me.

in some cases that would make it a one bidder bid

Exactly! Size standard has nothing to due with the size of the procurement but, rather, the size of the companies bidding on it! This article should be pulled because it’s completely false. Let’s stick it to Zero, but let’s use the TRUTH, not dumb internet whackjobs.

Hey. Wait a minute. Your facts will spoil the sillyness at this echo chamber.
