I do not believe that the Army would follow what orders he gives. You are not required to follow an order that you know is unlawfull.
My brother is retired Sgt. Major U.S. army and he said he does not believe the army would not fire on the American people under any circumstances.
Your Right. That’s why Opie wants his 250,000 man political army. Imagine Acorn with Federal Badges and Big Guns.
Did you forget New Orleans? The military went house to house to collect guns. The military is designed to follow orders and follow them they will. Some may not, but the majority will. This is the strength of the military. This strength could be used against the citizens.
The question I have is........the military cannot be used against civil disturbance. Right? Is this not in our Constitution?
What are they going to stand against- a nuclear power?
LOL.
(/sarc.)
I think they would. My brother in law is a Captain in the army. He said he would love to be called in to quell a riot so he could give someone the butt of his rifle.
I don’t think they will either.
I hope you’re right. I also hope the “military” leaders in charge in Iraq would refuse an order to shoot down Israeli jets flying over on their way to Iran.
It may end up that the military will be the only ones with food to eat. If it comes to that, they’ll obey the orders. It’s either that or join the hungry.
Nobody’s job is safe. I just heard from a nurse friend this morning that they had a lay off at the hospital where she works and her hours were cut.
I’m know this is very negative but I have a feeling we are about to see the end of mankind. And John McCain being in the Oval Office wouldn’t have made any difference.
They have been conditioning troops toward this eventuality for years.
Who knows what mind control stuff they may well use in the process.
And that doesn’t even begin to get into the foreign troops on our soil nor the foreigners in our military.
Nor does it touch on the 30% or so who are in sympathy with the traitorous idiots.
Wishful thinking, surveys have been taken among the military many times, they will follow orders.
Of course this riot control gear, may be for his new civilian defense force.
We had most of this at Ft. Belvoir in the late ‘60s. Except for the riot equipment. How does 14,000 rounds (IIRC) of 7.62 for one company sound?
We were a battalion of Combat Engineers (91st) and were give riot duty for Wash. D.C. Us because we were who they had available.
Not all of this is new or unusual.
I know young Navy SEALs and Rangers who voted for the bigg 0.
