The guy has lived in the US for about 75% of his life

Wrong, 66% is much more like it, and we're still talking only ~20 years in the US since he's not even 35 yet.

this is not (as of yet) an issue which is even tangential to open source

Get real, like Obama he's a big open source proponent or he would have never gotten this job. It's time you face the facts and either defend this philosophy or begin to admit it's dangers, but claiming it's not central to this appointment is bogus. A search of "Vivek Kundra" and "open source" combined returned 15,000 results.

He immigrated when he was 11 dude, a kid... its not like he got off the boat 5 years ago... Its one thing to be against illegal immigration but picking on immigrants period is ugly, even for you..

“Get real, like Obama he’s a big open source proponent or he would have never gotten this job.”

Actually he is most know for pushing things like Google which is for the most part a closed source shop (regarding their code). While google uses allot of open source they do not release too much of their own code.

“it’s time you face the facts and either defend this philosophy or begin to admit it’s dangers, but claiming it’s not central to this appointment is bogus.”

Can I take this to mean you are unable to produce any policy he had when heading other entities in which he released source code that had previously been closed?

“A search of “Vivek Kundra” and “open source” combined returned 15,000 results.”

And a search of “Vivek Kundra” and “Microsoft” combined for over 31,000 results! I guess by your standard he is twice the MS pusher that he is a Open Source Pusher... But then again a search for “Vivek Kundra” and “Closed Source” only turns up about 5,000... I guess:

He is three times more likely to push open source than closed source unless the closed source is Microsoft in which case he is twice as likely to push the source than open source and six times more likely to push Microsoft’s closed source than other closed source....

Isn’t using ‘# of hits’ to prove my point fun?
