The White House press office announced today that Vivek Kundra, the current chief technology officer of Washington DC, will be assuming the position of Federal Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the White House.
The appointment of a top CIO is another first: the position did not exist in any previous administrations. Kundra will also have final say on government technology purchases , and will have the authority to overrule his peers at subordinate agencies.

Well great, I'm glad to hear it, but would have never never possibly guessed such a thing based on the amazingly childish behavior you continually display on the tech threads. If you want to be treated like an adult you should start acting like one, starting with addressing the subject of this thread instead of going off on your typical attacks against me as if I'm the one supporting Obama's selection as CIO, when it's apparently the other way around. And before you ignore what I just said and immediately go into another one of your tirades against Microsoft, you might want to consider every post I've made to this thread has been done from an Apple Mac, whether you're capable of ever dealing with actual facts, or not.
LOL
I don't care WHAT computer you've made the posts from honestly mainly because I don't believe a single word you say.
And as for acting like a child on the tech threads, speak for yourself troll.

I didn’t think you’d pay any attention to the facts, never do. Looks like your pleas for help went unanswered as well. Not many other Obama supporters around here either, looks like you’ll have to keep trying to explain your support of his new CIO all on your own.

You just dont seem to get this.. Mike, SWC, and I have all said this different ways lets try one more...
You dont have to knee jerk anti immigrant reaction to oppose one of Obamas appointments. My first words on this thread were that I was leery of this guy due to his age and the fact Obama liked him..
I have not, in point of fact, seen anyone here support him. I have seen folks *not* go into xenophobic rants in a nation made of immigrants and their kids..

oh because I said the guy will go through the same processes everyone else will and has PLUS I didn't go into a racist/uber-nationalist tirade for no reason means I support him?
you talk about sticking to the facts, you can't even read what I've posted.
I now remember why I stopped coming to FR, too many idiots and no ignore function.

Since Obama and his new CIO are such big open source guys why wouldn’t you support them on the issue? Either you believe in that stuff or you don’t, and you have maintained an open source ping list here, or did, unless you actually handed that over to someone else, but since that claim came from MikefromOhio it’s probabaly bogus and you’re still maintaining it ( even though you don’t like it used when it’s pointed out Obama is so into open source for some reason).

I thought etiquette at FR (I know N3wb, I know it's Iggle) demands you actually include someone if you are referencing them, especially when you do it without make any type of sense...
Your post makes no sense (again). Why don't you hit us up with another racist tirade about foreigners again?
To: MikefromOhio
I thought you had left again since you said FR was full of idiots and those ladies you pinged to come save you completely ignored you too. But apparently the fate of Obama’s CIO was just too tempting to ignore.

Because I dont believe in mandating software. Now if he wants to cut an agencies webservers over to apache for technical or financial reasons thats fine but the only software idealist on these threads is you.

Believe it or not but you can like OSS software and closed source. You know full well I use Apples and work on Solaris/Aix machines in addition to OSS software. but your point is to quible and fight.

Good God you're dense. Do you actually have anything to counter anything I said or just the usual Iggle nonsense?
BTW I fight my own battles. If I hadn't won (and I did in this thread), maybe they would have felt the need. Instead, I didn't need the help but it was the right thing to do since I was TALKING ABOUT THEM, to extend the courtesy ping to them. But what would YOU know about courtesy? That's right, nothing.
Now actually counter my statement with something other than a nonsensical rant, or let the topic die.
