Security Advisory: Firefox 3.0.7
For all you alternative browser types out there, Mozilla has released a new version of Firefox (3.0.7). The latest updated fixes eight vulnerabilities, six of which are considered critical.
Mozilla developers identified and fixed several stability bugs in the browser engine used in Firefox and other Mozilla-based products. Some of these crashes showed evidence of memory corruption under certain circumstances and we presume that with enough effort at least some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code.

I tried to upgrade XP to SP3.
One of my protective programs would not allow it.
Now, I am glad, because I’ve read of problems with SP3 and various drivers.
I’ve installed SP3 on at least 3 dozen machines without issue.
PING
clonegenius restores desktop???
I hate losing the desktop shortcuts etc.
Thx.
Clonegenius actually makes a copy of your OS partition/drive and saves it as a file.
If you need to restore, it rewrites the file to the partition/drive, thus retaining all your settings as they were when you made the original clongenius copy file.
Note that any new data, installs, etc., made after the original clone are lost.
I make clone copies periodically, especially after I have installed or updated programs. Clonegenius recognizes the USB drives, which are relatively cheap any more. So there is no reason not to have backups/clones of your system. I also have my system and program files on my C: drive (partition) and data files on my D: drive (partition). That way, if the C: drive system or program files become corrupted, my data on D: drive is untouched.
Sounds good.
Have bought so many such things over the years and all have been a disappointment.
What’s the price?
Thanks.
Can you summarize what SP3 adds/does? One thing I like about Vista is that if you are in a non-administrator screen and want to add something to the system it will ask for an administrator password so you don't have to switch back and forth. Were they smart enough to add that to SP3?
I did the FF update. So far ok.
