He gave the SF 49ers so much headache, especially to Steve Mariucci.

T.O. is a headache. But in fairness, Steve Marriuci's combined W-L record without T.O. is 2-478.

“maybe the owners are trying to do a little downsizing themselves. :-)”

No, many of those big names are on their down side years. Letting TO go will cost the Cowboys more, this year, than if he staid. It was one of those “bite the bullet now and move on” moments.

and replace Romo with whom? Better to keep him and find a young replacement in the next draft or two.

Receiver wise, yes they will be OK. Williams, Austin and P-Cray will be good enough. In the mean time they can continue to look for an up and comer in the draft.

There goes my football card collection. First Rae Carruth - doing hard time. OJ - doing hard time. Ray Lewis - escaped doing hard time - Ravens - might be worth something.
Michael Vick - did hard time. Had some of his rookie cards too. Maybe put them on a bike’s spokes.

“They hold onto that dreadful coaching staff, while cutting the better players?”

I agree, I am not sold on Garrett at all. I guess we will see if he uses a healthy Felix Jones more and with TO gone maybe Miles Austin can finally shine.

That’s right. At least I can say that the 49ers dominated the 80’s :-)

I agree that Jason Garrett has been a disappointment, but I am also one of the few long-time Cowboy fans who think T.O should stay. At least he wants to win! Compared to what happened in SF and Philadelphia, Terrell has been pretty well-behaved since he has been a Cowboy.

“Terrell has been pretty well-behaved since he has been a Cowboy.”

Yes and No. I think he has been a problem of late in the locker room. That may not be a bad thing, but it shouldn’t be made public and if other players are any indication it was a great distraction.

He isn’t the dominant receiver he once was. If anything he has become slow footed and isn’t as physical either. Essentially nowadays he is a overpaid good receiver. I think it is best that the Cowboys move on. They need to get faster at wide receiver position. What is to be seen is whether Roy Williams can take TO’s place and will Austin developed into the speed receiver that everybody thinks he is. Austin did show some break out flair last year, but then got buried like a lot of other players under Garrett’s Offense. Also Austin is a Restricted Free Agent, so I wonder if the Cowboys will be able to keep him.

Boy, that sure brings back memories. I can remember stealing clothes pins from my mother’s laundry room and using them to attach the cards to the spokes on my Schwinn.
