A 73-year-old Wyomissing man plans to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to hear his appeal in a case involving child pornography that was found on his computer when he took it for servicing.
Kenneth F. Sodomsky's case had been scheduled for disposition today in Berks County Court, but prosecutors said his lawyers notified them of the appeal.
The state Supreme Court in December agreed with a Superior Court ruling that Sodomsky of the 100 block of Leisure Court lost his right to privacy when he took his computer to a Wyomissing electronics store for servicing.
Those rulings reversed Berks Judge Jeffrey K. Sprecher's decision that Sodomsky had a right to privacy when his computer was being serviced at Circuit City.
Police said store technicians inadvertently discovered a video of a man fondling a boy. Investigators said they found 119 pornographic photos of children and 39 pornographic videos of children on Sodomsky's computer.
Sodomsky's lawyers, John J. Waldron of Allentown and Paul D. Boas of Pittsburgh, were unavailable for comment.
Sodomsky remains free awaiting further court action.
Guilty!
Guilty!
LOL!
The local photo developing and printing shops have been reporting people to the police for years when their photos have questionable images. How is your PC any different? You hand it to someone else, you give up your expectation of privacy.
Really??? This guy is going to prison and sharing a cell with "Axe Murderson".
There’s really a place called Wyomissing in PA?
What if the technician checks your email and discovers that you have been cheating IRS?
Yeah, the upper east branch of the Susquehanna River flows through the Wyoming valley. It was the frontier before the French-Indian War. They beat the state by a long shot!
One of two things can happen.
1)He can turn you in for a reward
.

.
.
2)You can get a job in the Obama administration.
HAhahahahahaaa and i would think, that if you put child porn on your computer, that you would avoid dropping it off at repair service centers, your ex-wifes house, etc,,,
What a maroon.
Not only that, they have universities at California and Indiana. PA is a big state.
When I read the headline, I thought it was a typo and the story was about a missing Wyo. man, lol.
Wow, that’s one messed-up guy. I can understand a lawyer defending a child pornographer if he’s a public defender and he had to because the accused couldn’t afford a lawyer, but someone who voluntarily takes on cases like that is just incredible. Even the fact that he worked for Playboy I don’t mind - if consenting adults want to take off their clothes and have other consenting adults look at photos of them, I don’t really care - but the whole thing with defending the ‘right’ of people to make porn with underage kids is just wrong.
