So I shouldn’t be allowed to watch a movie I’ve been looking forward to for 20 years because there are bad parents out there that will let their kids watch it?!
Sorry but reality is, at best, R rated. Can’t make the world G, can’t make all the movies G, filtering your kids input is your job not mine. I’m an adult, I get to go see whatever movie I want.
“Sorry but reality is, at best, R rated.”
I suppose Schlussel & co. are against adults seeing Shakespeare, complete with eye gougings, incest, cannibalism, beheadings, mutilations, and all sorts of good stuff. Now get back to McChurch.
I’m real curious how this flick stacks up against other (and there are very few) NC-17 movies.
Without being able to cite specific instances, it seems when the PG-13 rating came out, there was a certain “line” and now that line is getting stretched closer to the “R” rating, while the “R” rating is getting stretched closer to the “NC-17” rating. JMHO, not going to the wall for it.
Classic radical libertarian method........assign words and thoughts to me that I have not written........under our current laws, you are "allowed" to see the said "movie"............and, if our nation does not change course, in a few short years you will be "allowed" to see a "movie" that features a "hero" who just happens to also be a child molester.
Like lemmings over a cliff..........
Sorry but reality is, at best, R rated. Cant make the world G, cant make all the movies G, filtering your kids input is your job not mine.
The tired "welcome to the real world" argument has been repeated in various forms for thousands of years by people who are ignorant to the history of the decline and fall of nations...........
:}
Can you point me to the paragraph where Schlussel proposed a government ban on this film or any other way of preventing you, as an adult, from seeing it? I must have missed it.
