Once a year I make a post to get to know the Newbies and find out about the oldbie Freepers.

This year with all the chaotic seriousness we are facing I thought to add one more question to my standard old ones.

They are simple questions yet complex.

1. Where did you come from? 2. How long have you been here? 3. What is it that keeps you coming back. 4. What is your Pet Peeve?

There were also numerous theological debates. The general rule was that whoever could post the longest scripture, won.
We were all on dialup and if you made the mistake of clicking on any of these threads, by the time it loaded you were screaming for Jesus to immediately return and put an end to the foolishness.

I am and my nickname was also "Sister." My youngest sister called me "Deedah." My dad still calls me "Sis" on occasion.

I thought of a pet peeve. For some newbie to call ME a troll because we disagree over some small point! That will burn me up!

That, and the people who posted heavy graphics. You could almost see the modem smoking, trying to load all that heavy resistance. And, after a thread became larger than 25 posts, they took forever to load. And some of the threads were huge and had to be re-posted several times.

But still, those were the good ol’ days when FR was in it's glory.

My pet peeve is not being able to find the posts that have been removed by moderator. (I used to be able to do that, before one of John’s upgrades.)

I go back to The Right Side of the Web in the mid-1990's.

Since the late 1990's

Lively and provocative discussions free from profanity and trolls, and the site's user friendliness.

4. Wht's your pet peeve?
The fact that when posting an article, the box in which the title is typed doesn't support HTML. I also occasionally get peeved that there's no way to edit or delete a post once it has been made--this is especially true when I let a typo or error of some sort slip through.

Remember the debates on the Constitution? Sheer brilliance. Trouble was, a lot of the finest minds did not suffer fools gladly. They would get crotchety and then they were gone.
