I smell fish.
Peeeelosi? yeh...she’s a good demo. I got the following and checked it out and yep.....it’s true according to Snopes, and Truth or Fiction......GOOD WOMAN....
No more Del Monte or Star-Kist for me....I’ll buy the knock off version and so should every one.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s home district includes San Francisco .
Star-Kist Tuna’s headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi’s home district.
Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.
Star-Kist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan work force.
Paul Pelosi, Nancy’s husband, owns $17 million dollars of Star-Kist stock.
In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage. This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition’s.
Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an ‘economic development credit in American Samoa ‘.
Pelosi has called the Bush Administration “CORRUPT” ? ?
How do you spell “HYPOCRISY” ?
EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD GET THIS E-MAIL.
Why do we not get media coverage of stories like this
“SNOPES” VALIDATES
This is real simple. Democrats control the House because they gave up on gun control. They won’t go near gun control if they think it would cost them the House.
And it would.
And they know it.
apparently she isn’t as stupid as I thought she was
Not in NY....the pharmaceuticals and unions are running "thank Schumer and Gillebrand" ads non stop....Im seeing the same for a State senator....were in perpetual campaign mode now
The NRA has been in sync with the likes of Pelosi for a long time. My RKBA money goes to GOA, which doesn’t pander to politicians who advocate “reasonable” gun control laws.
“But as long as the nation is obsessed with historic milestones, is no one going to remark on what a great country it is where a mentally retarded woman can become Speaker of the House?” - Ann Coulter
All one needs to do is ask this gun hater which gun control laws are not being enforced.
The Presidency isn't really Nance's problem unless she's running for it - more of that later, I suppose. A loss on the order of 1994 is.
The question is, can she get away with some of the alternate strategies - the anti-ammo push, for example - and still pretend to protect the 2nd Amendment? Certainly the media will help her get away with that if she wants to. I'm guessing she'll test those waters. There's an element of media-driven class warfare here that's just too good to pass up.
I think everyone here is interpreting this incorrectly. The key phrase is:
“And I think the evidence points this out, that the Bush Administration was not enforcing law. So let’s start with enforcing the law that we have now.”
So, when they reintroduce the AWB the spin will be that they are just enforcing the laws that were on the books that Bush failed to enforce / let lapse etc. She’s teeing this up so it doesn’t look like the democrats are proposing NEW restrictions.
Wonder if she’s in *sync* with this?

NEVER trust what any Dhim says about pro-gun rights.
I received the following email response from the NRA on this subject. Good to know the NRA is there to protect our rights.
Thank you for your email. Most of these bills died at the end of the sessions in 2008. However, they will likely be reintroduced this session, and sessions thereafter, and will certainly pose significant threats: www.ammunitionaccountability.com
So far we’ve been successful in preventing passage of this legislation. Legislation in California or one of the New England states has a chance of getting through; however, most legislators and ballistics experts recognize that the this and similar technology is unreliable: http://www.nraila.org/Issues/FactSheets/Read.aspx?id=246
This is a proposal by a commercial enterprise that has a patent on technology to imprint the codes. They are trying to create a demand for their product by making it mandatory. Though the “Ammunition Accountability” website claims it is “a newly forming group” that “includes gun crime victims, industry representatives, law enforcement, public officials, public policy experts, and more,” the owner of the company admitted on NRA News that his lobbying firm put up the whole thing.
We have a fact sheet on the issue and link to the NRA News interview at http://www.nraila.org/Issues/FactSheets/Read.aspx?id=227&issue=005 , and a feature article that appeared in NRA magazines on this and other ammunition issues is available at http://www.nraila.org/Issues/Articles/Read.aspx?id=289
Opposing “ammunition accountability” remains at the top of our list of legislative priorities. We’ll keep everyone posted on our website and in our magazines if they try to seriously pursue passage in any state, or in the U.S. Congress.
Sincerely,
Krista Cupp
