I used to hunt with a .22 on school property. Always carried a pocket knife, played mubly peg at recess. graduated HS in 67. Also learned to read!
This would be funny it it weren’t so true.
I did, I did and I didn't.
I remember this email. So true.
I went to HS in Texas. I now live in CA. My stepson graduated in 2004. They would not let him read ahead if he finished his work early.
In elementary school they did the whole condom on the banana thing.
He got assaulted by a black student in 7th grade. Stepson was suspended. The black student was expelled, joined a gang. We heard he got shot about 3 years ago, but survived.
Other stories, too. Never again would I advise anyone to send their kids to public school.
Very humorous. A great satire on the “progress” we’ve seen in the last 42 years.
1967 - Black students and white students socialize exclusively with members of their own race but sports, band, shared classes and small talk at lunchtime (which everyone eats together at the same time in the cafeteria) assist both groups in ignoring, even forgetting their differences and learning to know and respect each other with many friendships formed along the way
2007 - All students are subjected to diversity training from the first day of school onward. Historical figures such as MLK, Malcom X and Harriet Tubman are studied at length while little or no mention is made of Napoleon, Montezuma, Magellan, Hitler, Stalin, Drake, Washington or Nimitz. Despite zero requests from any quarter a separate black graduation ceremony is established. Black students are encouraged to attend Historically Black Colleges & Universities where they are then encouraged to major in African American studies. After graduating from college and finding precious few employers seeking such degrees they accuse businesses seeking accounting, finance and engineering degrees of practicing institutional racism.
2007 - Johnny draws a picture of a gun. Teacher sends Johnny to the Dean, the parents are called in, Johnny gets a day of in-school suspension and misses a test, and the family is now under investigation by Social Services.
The modern, Marxist dominated indoctrination camp ( misnamed government “school”) is dedicated to emasculating our little boys. Any parent that would send a son into one of these boy-destroying institutions is brain dead or likely a product of the same institutions.
High School teacher brings Johnson rifle that he carried on Iwo Jima when he was awarded Medal of Honor to school and modestly tells story of his heroism. Many students are positively influenced by this man.
I hate to think what would happen today.
1967 - Six year old David kisses a girl on the playground because he thinks she is pretty. Girl yells “YUCK!” and runs away. Teachers ignore it. Everyone forgets it within a few hours.
2007 - Six year old David kisses a girl on the playground because he thinks she is pretty. Girl yells “YUCK!” and runs away. Teacher hears of it and calls the police. School and police force David into sexual harassment classes and he is listed as a “sexual predator”. Government passes laws that make records of “sexual predators” permanent and it follows him into adulthood. David cannot get an education and ends up working as a convenience store attendant. Girl is now a labeled as a “victim of sexual harassment”. She goes through counseling to reinforce this belief. She ends up at a university taking “women’s studies” and becomes bitter at the world over the unfairness. She is convinced she is a lesbian but never feels right about it so she turns to drugs and alcohol. She ends up dead from an OD on booze and pain killers at 25.
Girls are victims of liberalism, too. Read my post #11.
In 10th grade Speech class, I used my father’s Model 1911 .45 pistol as a visual aid.
1967when conservatives ran the schools.2007 commies run the schools.
Agreed!
The Marxist plan is to turn sweet little girls into bitter, sterile, man-hating, 40 year olds with cats.
1967:
Patriotic values and civics were taught in school. The military was respected and even encouraged as an honorable profession.
2007:
Grade school teacher and students organize mock war crimes tribunal for Bush administration and go on field trip to Cuba.
In our town, in 2007 Johnny would be arrested, taken off the campus in handcuffs, charged with making a written threat, suspended for 180 days, sent to Alternative Education, and tried in a court of law, unless a plea was taken after two years of waiting to come to trial and have the charges reduced to “attempted threat,” his family would be ruined financially and physically and Johnny would, for all intents and purposes be dead.
OK, here's one for the girls:
1967 - Five or six girls aged 14-16 have a sleepover at one girl's house. They stay up all night talking about boys, giggling, and finally taking provocative Polaroid photos of one another. The photos end up in school and are passed around by the junior high school boys. Life goes on.
2009 - Five or six girls aged 14-16 have a sleepover at one girl's house. They stay up all night talking about boys, giggling, and finally taking provocative cell phone photos of one another. The photos are sent to the cell phones of various junior high school boys. An "educator" learns of this notifies the police. The girls are charged with distributing pornography and become registered sex offenders.
“Always carried a pocket knife, played mubly peg at recess.”
I can not remember a day that I didn’t have a pocket knife in high school. In fact sometimes I also carried a swiss army knife or a lockback. As long as it wasn’t the “dreaded” switch blade you were okay. And I graduated in 1984!
