Octomom Nadya Suleman is worried that the California hospital where she gave birth last month won't release her octuplets until she "has a better living arrangement," TV host "Dr. Phil" McGraw said.
McGraw said Suleman, 33, called him in a frenzy on Tuesday, telling him she fears that the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center where she gave birth on Jan. 26 will not release her kids until she proves she can take care of them.
"What she is telling me is that unless and until she has a better living arrangement, that they are not likely to release the children to her," McGraw told The Los Angeles Times.

The hospital can’t hold her babies but they can call in social services who can make this decision which I suspect is what is happening.
Octo-mom still hasn't accepted this offer. I just checked.
Bastardy is a crime, or was a crime for a reason. The “Octomom” is a nut, but her folly is repeated by millions of woman with less then eight children. The folly is to consider for a second that it is “normal” or “healthy” to have children out of wedlock.
Live by the sword, die by the sword.
In her case, win by the nanny state, lose by the nanny state.
Anybody out there shocked that a hospital doesn’t have to give you your baby? This woman’s an extreme case, but if she had just ONE in the hospital, and that one had an apgar score of 10 (perfect condition), the hospital still has the discretion to evict her from the premises and keep the baby. All it takes is a few words in a report, expressing concerns. Doesn’t matter if they’re expressed by the doctor, the nurse, the midwife, the ex-wife, the child protection racketeer (social worker) or the bloomin Easter bunny.
Hospitals are dangerous places.
However, this octuplet mother is a whackjob and I wouldn’t want to be a baby going home to her.
Absolutely true. Americans are very naive on this point, most of them. Guilty until proven innocent, is the rule under which CPS operates. Has been for many years.
In some cases, not all, it's a follow-the-money situation. Healthy babies whose mothers are young, stupid, defenseless, unmarried...are the quickest to be selected by social workers. They're a valuable commodity.
And in other cases, the CPS is just enjoying the power trip.
