In my class Critical Writing II, I have been given the task of writing a research paper.
Since we can pick our topic, mine is on why we need a Constitutional amendment defining marriage as a union between one man and one woman.
For me, I think we need to regain our moral compass as a nation, and this is the best place to start. The thing is, I need places where I can go to get what I need to back up what I want to say (1: Activist courts are ignoring the people, 2: Homosexual activists want a privilege turned into a right and to silence or otherwise punish those who disagree, 3: An amendment to the United States Constitution would kill the debate once and for all, 4: It all starts with us.).
(Clarification: 1) I am attending a Christian college. 2) The paper comes from a thesis statement, so I think a predetermined outcome is okay.)
Any suggestions????
Ping.
any straight that can kiss a guy and pretend to like it is probably either gay or a good actor.
that’s why Philadelphia, Milk , Porkback MTN,ect, win Hollyweird awards,IMHO.
That and they just love any gay-theme movies.
ANYONE that acted the part in MILK would have won the award.
The national protection of traditional marriage between one man and one woman is hardly a new thing. At least four states were not allowed into the Union by Congress unless and until they would forever foreswear plural marriage. Utah, Idaho, Arizona and Oklahoma, I believe.
The family is our civilization’s most fundamental institution. The Constitution’s crowning purpose, according to the Constitution itself, is “to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”
Without the family there is no Posterity. America dies.
Thanks for the ping!
I haven’t seen either movie, but I still know Rourke gave the better performance simply because there was even talk of him beating Penn in a year when Hollywood was desperate to give us th finger over the gay issue.
I do get a chuckle out of how Hollywood types are actually shocked that Mormons and black churchgoers are not big fans of gay marriage. Yeah, and the sky is blue, too.
Here’s a list I maintain of people who’ve lost basic freedoms because of the gay lobby. Hope it helps.
