Last week he had floor to ceiling gold drapes and no flags?Haven't noticed but it does go along with a sense of Roman Emperor, Caesar like presentation, doesn't it? Kind of like the columns he used so effectively to garnish the adoration from "the masses".

The gold drapes had two chandeliers on either side of Obama as he spoke to the Conference of Mayors at the White House.
