Is this cartoon racist?
primebuzz ^

Riddle me this: the New York Post, a famously combative, conservative newspaper owned by Fox News proprietor Rupert Murdoch, runs a cartoon implying that a crazed chimpanzee wrote the recent economic stimulus bill, which was actually championed and developed by our nation's first black president.Longtime civil rights activist Al Sharpton thinks it might be. New York Gov. David Paterson, who is that state's first black chief executive, has said "an explanation is in order."

No! It isn’t even related to 0bama. He did not write the bill.

NO...

According to Eric Holder....he said today...

In a speech marking Black History Month, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. on Wednesday labeled the United States “essentially a nation of cowards” when it comes to race relations.

Mr. Holder, the first black attorney general, told Justice Department employees that “this nation has still not come to grips with its racial past” and suggested Black History Month could be used to spark more candid discussion of racial issues.

“This will be, at first, a process that is both awkward and painful, but the rewards are, I believe, potentially great,” Mr. Holder said. “The alternative is to allow to continue the polite, restrained mixing that now passes as meaningful interaction but that in reality accomplishes very little.”

Mr. Holder noted that increased dialogue would help advance what should be “nuanced, principled and spirited” debate on topics such as affirmative action.

David Paterson, who is that state's first black chief executive, has said "an explanation is in order."

Why, he hasn't even seen it.

Race baiters won’t miss an opportunity to read racist intentions into just about anything.

Is that a racist joke?

Only if you live your life looking through race colored glasses, and strive to be perpetually upset about such things.

I’m guessing that they are implying that it was written by a bunch of monkeys? Actually I think a bunch of monkeys could have done better.

No. But you can expect the race hustlers and the protest prostitutes to find racism where there isn’t any.

It is a reference to the adult chimpanzee that was recently killed after attacking a female friend of the owner. It was stabbed by the owner in an attempt to get the animal off her friend and it was shot by a cop after the chimp opened the police cruiser door in an attempt to get at him.

It is also a reference to the old saying that “If you put a bunch of chimps in a room with typewriters, eventually you could end up with a novel like War and Peace.

The cartoonist obviously thinks that’s how the Stimulus Bill was written...by a bunch of chimps.

Golly, you’re slow {just kidding)

I think it is a play on the old definition of infinity where a combination of an infinite number of monkeys, typewriters and time produces all the great works of literature and the KJV of the Holy Bible.

Since this was done in such great haste, it was obviously the work of only one monkey.

I don’t want to put up the link but there’s a site with multiple pictures comparing Pres. Bush to a chimp. That never seemed to bother the left.
