Enjoyed BSG.. Loved the intro.. Had they kept going this route on BSG I think this show would have overtaken B5 by leaps and bounds... To me BSG will be one of the great Sci-Fi show...
Who is your favorite commanding officer?
My would be
1. Colonel Jack O'Neil
2. Captain James T Kirk
3. Captain Malcolm Renyolds
4. Admiral William Adama
5. Commander Adama (from the old BSG)

is one of the choices the guy from firefly?

I am leaning towards Jack O'Neill because of the length of the his tenure and his fun loving personality. Reynolds and Adama (BSG) are a pretty close second. Kirk was too one dimensional and I never watched the original BSG.

Do you know if Eureka will be back on SciFi? I can’t seem to find any information about it. SciFi channel seems to cancel all the shows I like. Sigh.

I tried to sit through Dollhouse.
I just couldn’t connect with it. It was drawn out, dull, slow paced.
I finally gave up about 35 minutes in to it and turned the channel.
I read one review that said it would get better in the coming weeks. It lost me at week one.

Col. O'Neil. He was a riot.
Love the new Heroes season so far. It's building up to something really big.
Will be watching Sarah Connor on Hulu this afternoon.
Fringe sucks. And I haven't seen Sanctuary in a while. It sucks, too.

If I can add a commanding officer from a book, it would be Captain Hilda (sharpie) Corners Burroughs.

My three favorites are:
Kirk
Reynolds
Adm. Adama
I think I could follow orders from any of them, if I ever found myself in that particular situation.

I'll take a pass on the new Adama. I was hoping the recent coup would finish him off. Favorite commanding officer from an audience perspective? Kirk, Reynolds, (Sheridan), O'Neill, classic Adama. Favorite commanding officer from a serving under them perspective? Nearly reverse order (O'Neill, classic Adama, (Sheridan), Reynolds, Kirk), especially if I'm wearing a red shirt and/or am not a recurring regular.
As for where the new BSG is going, I think the explanation with what's going on with the humanoid Cylons was a lot better than it could have been and could be quite interesting, depending on where they go with it. But elements of it still feel like they're making it up as they go.
I just realized that Dean Stockwell guest starred on the one episode of Miami Vice that stuck out in my memory, Bushido in 1985, where he played an old CIA friend of Lt. Castillo, played by Edward James Olmos. It's an interesting episode that's all about Castillo, not the two leads.
I do like where Lost is going so far and Heroes seems to be getting interesting again. I'm annoyed that Obama preempted Chuck, so now they'll be showing some episodes out of order so that their Valentine's Day episode can be shown on Monday.

Mal Reynolds. Seems like the type of leader who would be the most Human.

OK, I’m going with Lt. Col. Samantha Carter, cause she’s definitely the smartest and the one I’d get along with the best.
