As far as I know
Yes it is..
“Scifi has no brains at all..”
They make stupid decisions all the time.
I watched 1st season of LOST, but without taping, so I missed a few episodes, fell behind, and when the second season started, I did not bother. Reading/hearing reviews from people I respect, I decided to catch up. SciFi provided a perfect opportunity with Monday marathons of 4 episodes per Monday starting in September 2008. With DVR, its very easy to watch it later when convenient.
So, SciFi did something right, showing 4 seasons ahead of the 5th season start in January? Not so fast! Somebody miscalculated (and I understand ABC did not make it any easier with announcement of exact date of the 5th season start) - so it looked like they won’t finish before the due date. Instead of adding more episodes on Mondays, or make any other amends, they just jumped forward leaving 7 or 10 episodes not shown. Anybody who watched LOST knows that there are clues sprinkled everywhere. You miss an episode, and then puzzle is not coming together properly.
Thankfully ABC provided complete seasons 3 and 4 online, so I ended up switching from a TV to a computer. I imagine people who did not get news of this (I read about it here or some other forum, don’t remember, but definitely not on SciFi) were lost in what the he*l happened.
The current Dr. Who is moving on. There will be a few two hour specials but the season will not return until 2010.
I would prefer a season which is something like 16 episodes. Instead we may get 3 or 4 two hour stories.
Even worse, the new doctor is going to be played by some teenage heart throb.
It made me a little sad.
