The baby father ... Alfie Patten with little Maisie

BOY dad Alfie Patten yesterday admitted he does not know how much nappies cost — but said: “I think it’s a lot.” Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight, became a father four days ago when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman gave birth to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.

He told how he and Chantelle, 15, decided against an abortion after discovering she was pregnant.

Its disgraceful, really, the boy is just a child himself and has now to look forward to looking a child, there goes college and his early teenage years. So feckless, the parents of this boy should be ashamed of themselves. The worst thing is the newspaper article is trying to make look as normal as possible when it should be screaming this is so wrong. "Alfie, who lives on an estate across town with mum Nicola, 43, spends most of his time at the Steadmans’ house. " "He is allowed to stay overnight and even has a school uniform there so he can go straight to his classes in the morning." Great so he can get her pregnant again, social services in the UK should have put a stop to that. Allowing a 13 yr old boy to stay in the house with the 15 yr old girl and the baby is asking for more trouble.

Thirteen seems a bit young to me. But what the heck, maybe he’s able to support his wife and child like a man is supposed to. What sort of work does he do?

He told how he and Chantelle, 15, decided against an abortion after discovering she was pregnant.

And yet so many 30-something couples get drunk, shack up and have repeated abortions.

Alfie and Chantelle are obviously very courageous for their ages. Good luck to them.

It is actually pretty normal these days. The grandparents avoid the scorn of shamers like you by mercilessly ordering the killing their grandchildren.

The blood of these babies flows through the sewers under the streets of our cities.

What should be opposed is the sexualization of teens, which is a problem a million times bigger than the isolated pregnant teen girl who isn't coerced into sacrificing her baby on the altar of Molech.

"Its disgraceful, really, the boy is just a child himself and has now to look forward to looking a child, there goes college and his early teenage years."

Remember this is Britain. The boy will not have to provide for his young family. The (nanny) State will take care of everything. If university was in his future, he could still attend as long as he continued his schooling and kept his buddy-buddy videogame playing time with his child to a minimum.

This is real and represents the breakdown in our society. Society/culture is made up one person at a time. Parents are getting younger and as much as I hope these children will be constructive adults, there’s alot riding against them. When we are in our wheelchairs, this is the age group of the kids that will be in office. Makes me wonder what society will be like 30-40 years from now.

When they both grow up, daddy and daughter will be able to double date!

How cute!

Jim, whack this post ASAP. I don't think this is what Free Republic is about. Want this kind of trash buy the National Inquirer.

I'm so glad you're here to tell Jim what he should allow on his board, and to save us all from those things you don't deem worthy to discuss.

On the other hand, this is a terrific example of where society is going, and illustrates just why things are falling apart.

"I am more interested in saving our Country then a kid fathering a baby."

And you're going to save our country without addressing the general decline of western culture? That's like saying you're going to grill burgers without any meat.

Really good news would be that they decided to place the child for adoption with a suitable, married, adult, opposite-sex couple. (Can’t believe I had to specify all that ...)

I bet the boy isn’t really the baby’s daddy - looking at the picture of him, there’s no way he’s gone through puberty yet, as opposed to the kid who was the father of the twins in the earlier post. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the babymama actually was messing around with another guy and just didn’t want to admit to cheating when she ended up pregnant.

What you say is true, but as this is happening in Merrie Olde Ynglande chances are good that this won’t happen...

Unfortunately, there is little chance you’re wrong. Even in the U.S., it’s unlikely that people who shouldn’t be entrusted with sole care of a goldfish would even consider having their baby adopted and given a chance at a decent life.

There's no such thing as "cheating" when people aren't married. There's just, "I'm also screwing some other guy/girl. Deal with it."
