And that's the real answer to the puzzle. We've gone from cats as cats, to cats as scheming rascals, to cats as human beings. The sad lolcats represent people. We have seen the lolcats, and they are us.
Whew, the writer needs to get a grip. LOLcats are just cute.

I’ve never found these cats funny and I never will. I wish everyone would stop with the cats, but it doesn’t seem likely.

“That is so fake.. there is no blood, scars, screaming or tears anywhere in view on the person holding the cat.”
Persians can be pretty laid back depending on how you raise them :-)! In fact, it is best to get them well adjusted to water/baths/grooming early in kittenhood or else you are going to wind up with a walking knot of fur.

But the cheeseburger is not really a cheeseburger -- it's a symbol. That's deep, Jay. One of the best things about being a liberal arts major is discovering that anything can be a metaphor for anything else. One of the worst is thinking that nobody else has noticed.
Some of them are just funny.

I don’t know whats wrong with these cats, but every cat I’ve owned has had decent grammer. Maybe its just how you raise them...

LOL, martin. But Henrietta din’t want no cheezburger. She wanted a house with a kitchen. She needs to get with Julio (Mr. “I’ve worked at McDonald’s for 4 1/2 years”) - he can get her all the cheezburgers she can eat!
