Persians can be pretty laid back depending on how you raise them :-)! In fact, it is best to get them well adjusted to water/baths/grooming early in kittenhood or else you are going to wind up with a walking knot of fur.
Very true - I actually took my Persian boy cat into the shower with me once after he was sick. Rinsed him off, shampooed him, rinsed again, wrapped him in a towel like a baby and sat him on the floor while I showered myself. When I was done, he was just sitting there quietly in his towel, looking at me. He is an odd kitty though - very passive.
