I find it refreshing that the United States, whose sports fans collectively yawn at this sport, is beating the national team of our presumably friendly neighbor, whose rabid fans once chanted "Osama! Osama!" while playing the United States. Classy.

I've always been amused by that line of reasoning:

A: "Waah, there were more Mexicans at the game than Americans!"
B: "Then why didn't you go to the game and even it up?"
A: "Soccer is gay."

Same goes for the people complaining that "the opposing team's fans taunted us." How effeminate is that?
