Caravaners were left baffled when the mysterious cylinder hovered over a busy campsite in Brean, Somerset. They claimed the unidentified black metal object stands out clearly against the blue sky, where it can be seen darting up and down for more than 10 minutes.

Mystery surrounds 'UFO sighting' in skies above Brean.

There are already a range of theories on what the object might have been, with some believing it was a kite or balloon, while users on video sharing website YouTube claim the object looks like a "high altitude observation balloon payload." Another says it "looks like a metalic shape, higher than a plane, making it pretty big."

Thanks. Of course, the naysayers will have all manner of silly explanations.

Oh, come on, nobody could ever doubt that this thing is extraterrestrial. Of course, there's NO WAY it could be a misidentified manmade object. I'm completely convinced it's a UFO from beyond our gravitational pull.

I shouldn't need the sarc tag, but if someone is stupid enough to believe it's a "real" UFO, they are plenty stupid to not catch the sarcasm intended.

LOL.

Just so the serfs know their place and keep to it!

LOL.

/sar

I don’t think I have a lot to add.

IT APPEARS that the size of the thing may preclude some of the sillier explanations. However, I’m no expert on that, either.

There ARE huge, HUGE craft of that shape . . . whether this photo is of one of them remains to be seen.

Cheers.

For some reason, my impression of it is that it’s pretty huge.

even if it were LESS than the usual 5% of sightings that are authentically super strange and inexplicable . . . even if it were 0.001%. That would be quite enough.

But they aren't, and it isn't. Keep on trying, though. I love having someone to laugh at. That may not be fair, though, sometimes I feel guilty like I did when i was a kid, laughing at those in the 'state hospital'. Same deal, only you aren't in the hospital.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh

and your flawless

observational platform and perspective from which to

pretend to be so omniscient would be what . . .

oh, right . . . you rode a high altitude weather balloon up to that altitude and just happened to be in the right place at the right elevation at the right time to

pontificate soooooooooooooooooo authoritatively!

sooooooooooooooooo impressive.

But then gold medal winning Olympic class smugness and arrogance are BY DEFINITION, impressive, aren't they?

ROTFLOL!

Thankfully, some of us still recall how to use the words

I

don't

know.

And some of us are even still . . . UNomniscient enough to note that it could be any number of things.

. . . including, conceivably . . . a UFO.

The frame of reference is not available from which to adamantly say anything remotely emphatically.

However, some of us recognize that some perspectives are not that gifted in such uses of the higher cognitive functions.

It’s persistently sooooooooooooo comforting

when you repeatedly display such a

THOROUGH-GOING IGNORANCE OF THE WHOLE LITERATURE—THE QUALITY LITERATURE ON THE TOPIC.

I guess it’s an issue of the self-congratulating O2’S

(OMNISCIENT ONES)

NOT NEEDING to read anything about the topic they enjoy being so blindly derisive about.

LOL.

Somehow,

I’m not real surprised to learn of you laughing at the unfortunates in the mental hospital.

Has a certain kind of obvious fit, to it.

Your post of a balloon is what causes me to doubt any claims of men from another world flying their UFOs. Notice how clear and sharp your photograph is? Always these videos of supposed UFOs are out of focus and never with any kind of telephoto.

I have taken photos of aircraft in the sky and they were always as clear as a pin. Never have I seen so much garbage as these UFO photos.

Until someone produces a photo as clear as your balloon photo, I will continue to see these UFO believers as caught up in science fiction fantasy. PERIOD!

Yes, the idea of Christian charity is "alien" (pun intended) to some folks, ain't it!

God bless you and keep you well, Quix. You're a FReeper I value much.

I am not aware of anyone on here

“DECLARING IT A SPACESHIP FROM ANOTHER PLANET . . . “

Some of us find it conceivable.

Of course, we realize that folks who have not read the many 10’s of thousands of pages of evidence in the field are

. . . knowledge-challenged . . .

to form the faintest hint of an

informed, fair-minded opinion

on the matter.

Of course, that’s never stopped naysayers from making foolish pronouncements.

LOL.

YOU’VE LONG BEEN A GREAT TREASURE OF A FRIEND AND CHRISTIAN SIBLING, TO ME, TOO, DEAR HEART FINNY.

God’s best to you and yours. May He keep you safe, at peace, provisioned, and close to Him.

Of course, some naysayers profess that I’m lacking in Christian charity toward them. I guess they would also tend to think of disciplining children as lacking in love, too! LOL.

Harrrrrumph! If they think that, then they ain't been out much. I've often seen you be the very model of gracious forbearance in the face of ugly, gratuitous insult. I like to think some of your ways have rubbed off on me and that I am better now than I used to be at responding to rancorous posters with LACK of rancor. It makes for better reading, better communication, and better sharing of conservative ideas, which is what Free Republic is all about.

Thanks, by the way, for the wonderful prayer. As they say in radio, "Right back atcha!" ;^)

You such a Dear Heart!

PRAISE GOD.

Actually, I’ve gotten a fair number of such assertions and affirmations—most safely out of the limelight by FREEPMAIL! LOL.

Yours openly in the thread is a real treasure. If you’ve learned ANYTHING useful from me, it’s worth all the ridicule and personhood assaults on me! LOL.

Sadly, sometimes it appears that some of the naysayers have friends in high places. LOL. Ahhhh well . . . God is higher still! LOL.

Have a blessed rest of the week and fun weekend.

May the encouragement and joy you sent to me be piled back on you 10 fold.
