In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
defalcate \di-FAL-keyt\, verb
to steal or misuse money or property entrusted to one's care
Example sentence:
The stockbroker defalcated millions from investment clients.
Etymology:
c 1540, from Latin defalcere, from de- + falx/falcem "sickle, scythe".
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

WFB's attempt to emulate us ; ) No pushing at the door please!
Rise and shine!
The Obama administration is defalcating our economy, our savings, and our freedom away.
Too easy. Any demonrat.
Obama defalcated the trust, hopes, and dreams of millions of Americans by promising their fulfillment, an era of change, and reverting to an FDR/LBJ/Carter/Clinton style politics.
This “Stimulus” Bill will defalcate the economy and defecate upon the people.
great word!

Obama didn't want to have to depend on amateur defalcateurs such as Gorelick, who had to learn on the job.
That's why he hired an experienced thief like Geithner, who could hit the ground running.
Daschle just didn't measure up. I suppose Robert B. Reisch would have had the same problem.

I almost used this word on Tuesday. It was the day’s word at dictionary.com.
We’re not hearing as much hopey/changey now, are we? A for you.
How did I know those words might be used together? A for you.
A for you. Porkulus = bad.
It makes you look twice, doesn’t it? I thought of AIG when I saw it.
Perhaps I was hasty to ridicule Nancy...Glenn Beck points out that you may be able to get to 500 million if you count ALL 57 STATES!
