I work from late afternoon till around 12:30 or 1AM (Central) and then to the gym, or the grocery store, or like tonight, straight home.
Usually online till around 4 or 5AM, sometimes later - and sometimes not at all (especially if Mrs shibumi is up to greet me when I get home.)
.....and sometimes in the daytime on my days off .....
This time of night? It’s a sunny 1030 here in Iraq.

You sound like her! I’ve never heard such a complete turn-around from someone. She had all these celeb run-ins and working with weirdos, and her “friends” wanted nothing to do with her once she left the city—understandable that people drift apart, but heck, we stayed in contact for 10 years after she left.
I’m sure it’s an interesting place to live, but not to settle in.

I cut off internet service at home for two years, thinking it would improve my concentration at home in terms of my writing (I sell short stories when I can). Since I recently got the INternet at home again, my productivity has shot through the roof. I guess being online gets me worked up, and I use that energy in my work. I sure seem to be online constantly now, but again, more productive than when I wasn’t.
I’m in Europe.
I work in radio generally and news in particular so I have quite an interest in seeing what gets posted.
Hometown: Pittsburgh Pennsylvania...HOME OF THE 6 TIME SUPER BOWL CHAMPION PITTSBURGH STEELERS! There are lots of other sites I'm visiting overnight too of course, especially if I'm looking for show prep or digging up a story.

My friends always told me that I should write and publish, but I never seemed to get a round tuit.
Then, about 8 years ago I got really sick, and while recuperating I asked myself “What if I couldn’t work anymore? - What if I was housebound?”
So I went out and bought a computer (there’s an irony there I’ll tell you about sometime!) and all of a sudden I was writing so much that my wife said “What are you doing? - writing a book?”
So, I guess I am writing a book. I just haven’t figured out the plot yet.
