Black & Mild maker responds to Dwaine Caraway's anti-cigar crusade

On Wednesday, Dallas Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway accused the maker of Black & Mild cigars of "killing" southern sector residents.
Today, the corporate spokesman for cigar maker John Middleton returned our request for comment. He did his diplomatic best to address Caraway's "national appeal" to the company to stop southern sector residents from hollowing out Black & Mild cigars and filling them with marijuana.
"The company is committed to the responsible use and marketing of this product," John Middleton spokesman David Sutton said. "We will continue to work with all interested parties in Dallas."
But Sutton quickly noted that his company, which is owned by Altria division PhilipMorrisUSA, doesn't share Caraway's goal of banning many Dallas stores from selling cigars in packages of fewer than five.
"A minimum packaging requirement would unnecessarily curtail legal cigar sales," Sutton said. "Cigars are lawful products enjoyed by millions of adult smokers."
Sutton says "it would be premature" to speculate on what common ground the John Middleton company and Caraway may have on the cigar-as-pot-vehicle issue is concerned.

Question: what is the “southern sector”? Is it simply the southside of Dallas, or does it stand for something else?
Like any other leftist,the mayor pro-tem has no idea that it’s the drug users that abuse the product,not the manufacturer.He just doesn’t want the resposiblity of actually doing something to curb the use of illegal drugs in Dallas,so he creates a paper tiger to attack and demonize.Typical.
