When I use the term islamic fascism, I mean just that. There was a direct transmission of fascist ideas from Nazi Germany to several nationalist parties in the Middle East. Baath modeled itself after the Nazi Party. Pro-Nazi governments were ejected from Syria, Iraq and Iran during WWII. Because of the lunatic policies of the West, we allowed the fascists to reestablish themselves after the War.

I was going into this article skeptical but not agreeing with all the fine print, was pleasantly surprised. It gets the general strokes right especially regards to Iran.
