Where is the Outrage!?
NorCOGOP Vanity | 1/29/09 | NorCOGOP

Here we are, a week into Obama's presidency. Three days ago, a MAJOR ice storm crippled states in the south, midwest, and east. Over a million people are still without power.

Just today, Obama, our "dear leader," finally declared some of the affected parts of our country "disaster areas." This is exactly the same amount of time (if not more), than it took President George W. Bush to declare following Hurricane Katrina.

So where is the outrage?

Why isn't the White House doing more to solve this tragedy?

Where are the FEMA trailers?

Why weren't residents warned and evacuated sooner?

Why wasn't there a stadium for evacuees made available, so conditions could even be worse?

Why don't we see National Guard convoys bring help to those in need yet?

Where is the transparency we were promised?

We need to hold the White House to the exact same standards that existed when President George W. Bush was in the White House.

After all, left-wing environmental extremist wackos blamed President George W. Bush for Katrina. Not the damage, mind you, but, for the storm forming in the first place.

Therefore, we need to remind the public of the outrage we should all feel for Obama allowing this ice storm to form, in the first place. Had we not elected him, the storm would not have happened.

Use their own logic against them! Post Hoc fans....UNITE!

(/sarcasm)

Most of us are safely holed up in our homes. Big difference.

Don’t you think that’s a bit of a stretch? Trust me, I’m no fan of the losers in NOLA that couldn’t wait for government handouts, but if I remember correctly, the Superdome was filled with those that had their homes destroyed. As someone bunkered down in the middle of this storm, we are fine. I have power, but even if I didn’t, it’s only 20 degrees outside and I have a fireplace. People had no where to go during Katrina.

Do you want me to tell you a lie or the truth?

1)The lie; We need to give the new President time as he has only been in office less than a month.

2)The truth; The point is most of these areas are in the South and located in what was termed, “Bush Country” and you thus deserve it for voting for him twice and much like Texas after Hurricane Ike, Drowning and Frezzeing White People does not make good news for the MSM, when Democrats are in office.

According to Fox news, 22 people have died resulting from this storm.

Where they whites?

Could Obama’s complete failure to quickly respond to this emergency in a timely manner helped to cause theses deaths?

Was his lack of quick response, further evidence of his well documented hate for the white race?

Does he simply believe what his white hating reverend and personal friend had preached to him for over 20 years, the white mans “chickens have come home to roost.” ?

He could have quickly flown to the disaster areas and taken immediate charge or at least shown interest for the well-being of those in need? Instead, while citizens were freezing to death, he simply turned up the thermostat in the White House.

Where was Geraldo and Shep... where is the outrage, claims of racism, reports of hundreds of thousands of deaths, and shouts of premeditation and incompetence?

What did the Federal Government know and when did they know it?

Will full congressional investigations follow to shed light on Obama’s failures?

Seriously, prayers for all of those involved.

We need to give the new President time as he has only been in office less than a month.

But, but...we can't give him more time...that would mean...

gasp!

...seriously...it would therefore mean...

...that Obama was not qualified from day one.

Horror of horrors...Hillary was RIGHT on something after all!

There's a large black minority in the affected population, and some of the worst hit spots are all black ~ Over the Rhine in Cincinatti has been devastated. Black bodies have been stuffed into large icecubes awaiting retrieval, but that's not going to happen until months later when this stuff melts.

People trudging through the slush and snow said they could feel ARMS and LEGS with their own shoeless, naked feet that were freezing as we speak.

Oh, the horror.

And where was Comrade Zero? Was he here? Oh, no, he was tossing a wine and cheese party at the White House and getting drunk on his ass.

Americans, real Americans, will not stand for this. Impeachment is long overdue for the most corrupt regime in the history of America.

Your engaged in a cover-up. We've heard stories ~ rape gangs in Fountain Square, boats frozen in the ice in Paducah, traffic tie-ups that stretch for miles and miles in Indianapolis, and you can just imagine what's going on in downtown Louisville ~ has anyone heard from UofL's basketball stadium lately?

Well, have they?

Don’t you think that’s a bit of a stretch?

So what? It never stopped the Bush haters and blamers.

Do you recall the article that came out after Katrina struck that claimed the very fact that Katrina even formed into a hurricane was Bush's fault....

That's the whole point of this thread....stretch/smetch...it doesn't matter.

Just be fair, and apply the same principle to Obama that was applied to President George W. Bush, and all is well.

That, and drinking a case of Colt 45, fixes all the pain in life....

Does anyone know the latest news? I heard the electricity won't be back on for weeks. I hope these folks are O.K., especially the elderly.

Interestingly enough, yesterday a number of different phone services were not available ~ Vonage, which I use, wouldn't connect up with my parent's service in Illinois. Today it does so broken communication lines are being fixed (and sometimes that's just a matter of pumping water out of a below grade wirechamber).

It is warming up this weekend. At the same time the area hit by the storm is ususally pretty well prepared to "take in the neighbors".

I know first hand how WE are handling this weather emergency in Evansville Indiana. Over half of our community is without power. My hubby & I spent yesterday pulling stranded motorists out of the snow with a Rhino (neatest toy he has) and also delivered meals to some elderly residents in our neighborhood. Wow, all of this without any federal assistance? Yep, you betcha!!!!! That’s how it’s done in So. Indiana.

Here's one of the articles blaming Katrina not on nature, but on voting and ideology reasons. This was written by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr....

Now we are all learning what it’s like to reap the whirlwind of fossil fuel dependence which Barbour and his cronies have encouraged. Our destructive addiction has given us a catastrophic war in the Middle East and--now--Katrina is giving our nation a glimpse of the climate chaos we are bequeathing our children.

In 1998, Republican icon Pat Robertson warned that hurricanes were likely to hit communities that offended God. Perhaps it was Barbour’s memo that caused Katrina, at the last moment, to spare New Orleans and save its worst flailings for the Mississippi coast. [UPDATE: Alas, the reprieve for New Orleans was only temporary. But Haley Barbour still has much to answer for.]

Oh, yes he did ~ he really did turn up the thermostat in the White House while all those people were freezing to death in the dark. The MSM, more corrupt than ever, covered that story as a minor human interest story told by Comrade Zero's assistant, Axelrod.

Not a sign on his face that there was anything to be concerned.
