We don’t worry too much about other languages here in the Flying Castle.
With the exception of sionnsar’s Gaelic, (and a few other obscure languages he uses) we all pretty much know, or can figure out what is being said.
No one here will report you if you say, “Gehsundeit!”

No es nada. If Charlotte were the capital, we’d have paved roads, I’m sure.
In my family, no car trip of over an hour is complete without a review of state capitals. My mother and I were once stumped by the capital of Wisconsin (Madison), so she stopped at a gas station to check the U.S. map! Pat, who’s obsessive/compulsive, can also tell you the major economic product of each state and what other states border it, if you can distract him from the gears in his bloodstream.

Meine Name ist [sionnsar] and Ich hab' kein Deutsch.
I actually used that in a meeting a year and a half ago -- some of our visitors (this is a European committee) from a different organization didn't speak English so that part of the was in German. They apologized in advance, but I elected to remain anyway (as the chairman at the time of an important related committee this was a good decision).
But I knew I was in trouble when introductions began and it was a LOT more than mere name and company. So I used the above line, they all laughed, and didn't believe me (as I could tell when some of the addresses to our committee were directed right to me).

Would those gears in Pat’s bloodstream be Greek? Maybe that’s why he is OCD...although, I suspect all of us are OCD to some extent....
