I think for everyone's sake that a thread on positive things in our lives and in this country would be a good thing.

Sorry I can't help out here. The more I hear the more I fear. We are in deep doo doo and nObama is going to hang it on Bush and the Republicans if he can.

Easy I have three things to be positive about

1. Jesus Christ loves me
2. My wife loves me
2. My beautiful little boys think the world of their dad.

I part of a quilting group that makes quilts for Lutheran World Relief. The quilts are sent all over the world for people who need them. And apparently, there are millions who need our quilts.

I should have signed the post since I’m using Quint’s laptop. I can assure you that Quint does not do any quilting. In fact, he can just barely go to a quilting show with me. Says there’s too much “estrogen” in there. But then, Quint is a manly man. Just so you know, it’s me who’s in the quilting group.

What a relief that must be for you. Hope it lasts through what may be more rounds of layoffs.

Great idea. We do have many things to be thankful for. Even if they’re “little things,” they still count for much of the joy that comes to our lives. Thank you for posting this thread.

Thanks lily. It’s good to know that you’re here to let everyone know I’m not gettin’ some..:) I am happy about the Dr. Pepper though. And the potty training is going okay. Not great, but not as bad as it could be. I’m positive she will learn eventually....

I am positive that 4woodenboats is neither four or a wooden boat.

Positive thinking or attitude is a desirable thing. But how do you achieve that when all of our news papers preach doom and gloom. Ever the TV pushes the down side of every news worthy world event. No wonder so many Americans are on antidepressants.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, Jane. I sure hope this is the end of them but my “hope” isn’t gonna “change” reality. I have a feeling that there will be another round in a few months if the economy continues to deteriorate like I think it will. I may not be so lucky next time.

Nice to be able to actually contribute some “positivity” today, though.

I’m positive I’m going to stay afloat this year, though there may be extended periods of tippyness.

Positive things....

1. The MSM is selling blood to gain profits. While there are economic troubles...we seem to be at the point where things have stabalized...we're going to start recovering fairly soon.

2. My kids are both doing fine.

3. A gal I had been dating for 3 years dumped me....and after a suitable mouring period, I now realize what an incredible stroke of absolutely good luck it really was!

4. I'm still gainfully employed.

5. Most of us are.

6. The pope don't care for obammer...not no way, not no how!

7. The "Day Old" bread store in my area is making $$!

8. My WINDOWS Vista PC is running just fine, thank you very much!

9. Bill and Melinda Gates are doing ok...but feeling the financial pinch...just a weeeee bit!

and 10. Now that we all live in the "communist states of obammica", we should all have spotlessly clean spleens...with all the healthy venting we're now able to do!
