It may not be the case in this story, but hot young chicks and old guys..... there are only three words that can explain that phenomena.....

money, money, and money.

It wasn't the case - I was a sailor stationed at San Diego. If I had to explain the phenomena it would be

booze, booze, booze.

These young things went there to get laid, and when the young guys passed out, I got the leftovers. I'm not too proud to take advantage. I did occasionally get called "Daddy" comment in the heat of passion.
