Hey Homer, I so appreciate all you post everyday, but I have lost my bookmark file that I had all your posts bookmarked in. Is there a list of all of your releases (even from before I got on your ping list?)

Just curious because I want to burn all this info on to a CD. My friend is becoming curious with all that I am telling her and it is clashing with what she was taught in school (duh).

Henceforth, the German officer is a soldier first and an officer incidentally. Being an officer is now a job and not a class distinction.

This leveling of rank and class although applied at present only to ex soldiers and inactive officers, is bound to make itself felt in the army as well............. .

Keep the officer rank but infiltrate it and lower is value in the active army. Level and eliminate the distinction in the retired and active. You really had to think about the implications, lots of deniablity and confusion by the perps. Watch the body, not the hands..........

I thought the Werhmacht didn’t have to take an oath of personal loyalty to Hitler until AFTER the von staffenburg assasination attempt. Did not the Wehrmacht not have the eagle and swastika on the right breastplate until after the the attempted murder? I thought it was the last state institution to succumb to the Nazi totalitarian state???

1/24/39 Update

SS leader Reinhard Heydrich is ordered by Göring to speed up emigration of Jews.

This tidbit comes from www.worldwar-2.net. It is a great site for WWII timelines. The war is broken down by region and year. I counted 90 timelines for the actual war period plus one called Prelude to War, where today's update came from. There is even a section on World War I. The site's developer is British, so it has a slight British emphasis.

I couldn't find anything about Goering's orders to Heydrich on this date in my vast library ("Rise and Fall of the Third Reich").
